Displays and a film (25mi) recount the history of the Donner Party. Dioramas and artifacts detail the area's natural and human history. A nature trail (.5mi loop) leads along Donner Creek and past a large granite boulder now inset with a plaque listing the names of the survivors and of those who perished in the Donner Party.
