Almost a third of the surface area of this nature reserve covering 82 000ha on the border between the Champagne region's chalky and wet regions is covered by forest. Added to the variety and beauty of its landscapes are a range of leisure activities, including hiking and cycling, and three large lakes and numerous ponds perfect for exploring, relaxing, taking a dip, fishing, and observing animals and migratory birds.
