Long Beach lies between Ucluelet and Tofino, in the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve at the foot of the mountains (1 200m elevation): 11km of fine sand, where the waves of the Pacific break powerfully. At low tide, almost 1km of beach is uncovered, and amateur wildlife observers can get acquainted with a wealth of marine animals, such as sea lions and even grey whales out at sea, as well as numerous bird species. There are several paths leading to the ocean.
