The great Baroque palace (Palatul baroc, 1754) was formerly the governor's residence. It is now home to an Art Museum, divided into four sections: contemporary art, with works by the Timisoara School, canvases by Corneliu Baba (1906-1997), renowned for his portraits, European art and decorative arts.
