The Casas Museu is made up of five wooden colonial houses, painted white and pastel green. The first house has been furnished in a traditional Macao style. The next two houses are equally worthy of mention: one is home to a photography exhibition devoted to Taipa and Coloane, while the second showcases traditional Portuguese dress. An area is set aside for temporary contemporary art exhibitions and a restaurant has taken up abode in the last two houses.
