Wat Traphang Ngoen, the "temple of the silver lake", takes its name from its romantic location. Seated in front of a chedi with a lotus-bud spire and niches housing standing Buddhas, a majestic white Buddha sits imposingly above the ruins of the wihan, calling the Earth to witness. The Buddha seems lost in his contemplation of the lake, where an ubosot is visible on a small island.
