Time seems to have stood still in Vendeuvre Castle, the country house of one of the engineers of King Louis XV. A testimonial to life in the 18C, the estate is home to amazing gardens. The enchanting surprise water garden, in particular, is a very rare example of Ancien Régime frivolity; also look out for the exquisite miniature furniture museum.
