Praia da Araruna is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island and easy to reach by bicycle as it is located at the exit of Soure. Take the Travessa 14 due east towards Marajó Bay. It turns into a dirt track leading to Praia Barra Velha. From there, cross the long wooden footbridge above the river to reach Praia de Araruna which continues over 5km in a superb setting of mangroves.
