This 12C priory, Prieuré St-Michel-de-Grandmont, is one of the best preserved of the 160 Grandmontine monasteries (a religious order founded in 1125 by Étienne de Muret's disciples). The group of buildings includes a church with remarkable acoustics, a Romanesque cloister with a charming pinnacle, and a chapter house. At the foot of the Larzac, at an altitude of 450m, the wildlife park (deer) boasts exceptional panoramic views. It contains interesting dolmens and other megalithic remains.
