Grikos Bay is a deep cove where you can unwind on Petra beach (follow the bay for 500m), a crescent of sand fringed by marshes that look out to the little island of Traonisi. Nearby is the strange form of Kalikatsou Rock, doubtless at one time occupied by hermits; the view over the bay is superb from up there. At the far southwest end is the charming and remote-feeling Psili Ammos beach.
