Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope mark the tip of the Cape peninsula protected by a nature reserve of about 8 000ha. The lighthouse, which warns boats of reefs often hidden by fog at Cape Point, can be reached on foot or by funicular. The view from there, at over 200m above the ocean, seems to stretch out to infinity.
