Izu Peninsula

 Guia Michelin
Vale bem a pena as diversões
Local natural
  A opinião do Guia Michelin
Back in the 1920s, the train didn't travel as far as the Izu Peninsula but despite this the region already attracted travellers, especially residents from Tokyo less than 100km away, who came here to admire the scenery of volcanic mountains reflected in pools carved into the rock. Since then, the peninsula has been developed and Highway 414 crosses the region via a famous spiral bridge. Fortunately, Izu has avoided over-development and retains traditional hotels which are typical of Japan.
