The house is dominated by the remains of the ramparts crowned by the Munot, a 16C keep, that commands fine views. Vordergasse is one of the most characterful streets in the lower town whose houses are decorated with stucco. Note the "Zum Ritter" house (N°65) that features some fine frescoes. Admire the facades of the Vorstadt on Fronwagplatz and Government Palace with its 17C sculpted facade.
