This site is also steeped in the atmosphere of Dostoevsky's novels. It was the house inhabited by the usurer Alena Ivanovna, whom Raskolnikov kills for a few coins. Nothing seems to have changed in this U-shaped house, when you see the building's flaking façade and rather sinister courtyard.
