The rather highly specialised Museum of Russian Political History, housed in the Kchessinskaya mansion (beautiful facade), will appeal to history buffs - preferably Russian-speaking! Visitors will see flags, weapons, photos, posters, revolutionary tableware and reconstitutions of the offices of Lenin and his comrades. The Stalinist era and Gulag work camps are evoked by a display exhibiting moving objects made by the prisoners.
