The Parque Internacional La Amistad - a biosphere reserve and UNESCO World Heritage Site - straddles Costa Rica and Panama. Already considered exceptional in terms of its terrain, remarkable native animals and varied plant life, the park is still partially unexplored and has by no means yielded all of its secrets.
