The first pieces of black pottery, for which this village is famous, came out of this workshop in the early 1950s. Donã Rosa (1900-80) had a special talent and expertise which resulted in lovely, uniquely glossy black pottery. Since her death, her son and grandson have continued her work and continue to create delightful pieces of delicate pottery. Just join a group if you want to watch a demonstration in the workshop.
