The snowy slopes of the Bey Daglari mountains, the western spur of Mount Taurus, are very popular with skiers in winter; Saklikent, the nearest ski resort to Antalya, is only 50km away. However, it's in spring that the mountains are at their most attractive, when the slopes are covered with wild flowers and tender new shoots of grass. This is the best time of year for hiking in this region, before the high temperatures of summer set in.
