This is the second lock on the St. Lawrence Seaway system. At this point, vessels are raised 9m/30ft, from the level of the La Prairie Basin to that of Lake Saint-Louis, around the Lachine Rapids. The parking lot provides a good view of the vessels passing through the lock, and of the Montreal skyline in the distance.
