This mid-16C building has since 1927 been the seat of executive power. Its Mannerist fantasy piece of a façade incorporates multiple homages to figures from antiquity. In the inner courtyard are admirable fine friezes, plus the Borromini perspective: an architectural trompe l'oeil which runs 9m in length.
