Take a seat alongside the Fountain of the Four Rivers in the middle of Piazza Navona and have a look around you. The light-coloured façades, the carefree crowds of passers-by, the soft light - even at midday - and, as background music, the joyful sound of water from the fountains. This is Rome - and if Rome is the centre of the world, then this is the centre of Rome.
