A key venue of carioca culture, the CCBB is housed in a former financial headquarters. The building is characteristic of the architecture of banks the world over, with a marble hall, rotunda with columns and a glass roof. A small banking museum now occupies the hushed luxurious former management offices (guided tour in English, by appointment). Check the programme for exhibitions, shows, theatre and film festivals.
