The grandiose domus de janas of Sant'Andrea Priu cannot fail but impress. Twenty impressive sepulchres were dug between the fifth and third millennium BCE in a 10m-high trachyte south facing wall. The Tomba del Capo (250m2 and 18 rooms) was turned into a place of worship, as depicted by the handsome series of frescoes spanning the 4C to the 14C, which illustrate the site's evolution: early Christian worship and a Byzantine then a Benedictine church. This group of sepulchres is among the most significant of the island.
