On the Coconut Coast, Punta Cana is home to immense white sandy beaches and turquoise water, heaven for water sports enthusiasts. Punta Cana is also home to two-thirds of the island's hotels. The site is composed of a long-tarmacked road, off which the luxury hotels lead. The beach is hidden by the hotels and is thus inaccessible to the passer-by. Don't bother looking for the village either, it never existed.
