The Serralves Foundation stands in magnificent 18ha grounds, and also boasts a Museum of Contemporary Art and Serralves Villa. The villa is a remarkable example of 1930s architecture, with an Art Deco interior created by Siclis, Brandt, Lalique, Perzel and Ruhlmann. The museum's collections cover essentially Portuguese artistic output from the 1940s to the present day and are presented in the absence of temporary exhibitions.
