The Cultural District is concentrated in the 12 South Park Blocks, an oasis of green surrounded by museums and venues dedicated to artistic performances, including the Oregon Historical Society, Portland Art Museum et Portland'5 Centers for the Arts. The buildings of Portland State University and its 20ha campus surround the South Park Blocks.
