This is the old centre of Poppi and is reached at the end of a long ascent passing through a gate bricked into the houses. The small Piazza Amerighi is surrounded on three sides by arcades and is adorned with a marble fountain. It is dominated by the Church of the Madonna del Morbo that is topped by a dome. Via Cavour, similarly flanked by porticos ends at the Church of San Fedele founded by the monks of Vallombrosa in the 13C.
