Garden of the Garden Route is the motto of Tsitsikamma National Park extending for 80km along the Indian Ocean and inland to the foothills of the Tsitsikamma Mountains. A vast primary forest with hundred-year-old trees and a bed of ferns stretches between the sea and mountains, cut by deep riverbeds. Hikers on Otter Trail, running for 42km along the coast, can observe a wealth of fauna and maybe even one of the otter the trail is named for. Others can indulge in bungee-jumping, zip-lining, canoeing and mountain biking without restraint.
