This fine 18C manor with a portico with columns, wings and interior courtyards, was built in the Palladian style by brothers John and James Adam. The delicate stucco in the reception rooms were designed by Robert Adam. A superb collection of Chippendale furniture brightens several rooms. The library and the picture gallery with collections belonging to the National Galleries of Scotland are 19C additions.
