Santa Maria degli Angeli has retained only the square shape and regular conches of its original features. The interior is in the Baroque style with a few 16C elements. Of particular interest are the painted wooden ceiling, the fine organ case and the marble pulpit. Finally, it's hard to resist the mischievous charm of the little novice monk by Serpotta, whose head is peeping over the top of a cornice in the chapel to the left of the altar!
