This cromlech (ring of standing stones) overlooks Newport Bay. The capstone rests on top of three supporting stones in harmonious balance. It stands on the heather-covered slopes of the Presely Hills, from where the blue stones of Stonehenge were extracted and then transported via the waterways from Newport Bay.
