Monumento religioso
A opinião do Guia Michelin
Like all Shinto shrines, Kasuga Taisha (8C) takes great care of its natural surroundings. The shrine is set in a landscape of Japanese cedar trees on the edge of magnificent, unspoiled primeval forest. The temple is famous for the 3,000 lanterns, offered by the faithful over the centuries, that mark the path leading to the shrine and which adorn its interior. The lanterns are lit during the Mantoro festival held twice a year (early February and mid-August).
