The plan of the developer Jules Villard was to transform the Le Saurupt district into a completely Art Nouveau development. A lack of money resulted in him abandoning this idea, however the houses along this street are well worth a visit, in particular the Villa des Glycines at n° 5 and the Villa des Roches at n° 6, which were the first two house built by Émile André in Nancy. The latter lived in the Villa Les Roches, built out of millstone.
