Ludwigstraße offers a fine view from the Siegerstor - Victory Gate - the triumphal arch based on the Arch of Constantine in Rome up to the Field Marshals' Hall. It is one of the marks that Ludwig I of Bavaria left on the urban landscape of his capital with works overseen by Leo von Klenze, the royal architect from 1816.
