Anyone who loves painted and printed textiles will be in seventh heaven in this museum. From bleaching of fabrics to starching and lustring, dyeing to the know-how of designers and engravers, nothing will escape you. Note the 18C originals of the famous large Indian shawls and their European imitations. Visitors also get an insight into the history of Mulhouse, whose prosperity went hand in hand with the textile industry.
