This mosque was built in 1557 by Mehmed Karađoz, to the plans of the famous Ottoman architect Mimar Sinan. It is considered one of the most beautiful mosques in Herzegovina and, on account of its immense dome and minaret, the largest. Serenity reigns in this delicately decorated place of worship.
