In a small apartment on Petrovka Street, former Gulag prisoners established a museum with objects, drawings, photographs and recordings which bore witness to their daily hell in the Soviet camps. Since 2015, these relics have been rehoused in a new museum, which poignantly highlights the merciless universe of the Soviet-era concentration camps. The relics and the museum provide an insight into the extent of the repressive political and economic system implemented during this era.
