These exquisite late-11C cloisters stand in the shade of a huge cedar tree. Note the slender arcades and columns, alternately single and paired, in harmonious tones of white, pink, green and grey marble. The richly decorated capitals depict a great variety of themes - animal, plant, geometric - and historiated scenes taken from the Bible.
