This twin-spired stone church was built in 1926 as a memorial to the eight Jesuit martyrs of New France killed by the Iroquois between 1642 and 1649 and declared saints in 1930. The Martyrs' Shrine sports a striking interior with wood panelling and a roof made from sandalwood from British Columbia.
