Located in a single complex, the museum and the Roman theatres invite you travel back to Lyon's distant past. Set in a splendid concrete edifice by Bernard Zehrfuss, the museum showcases mainly Gallo-Roman collections uncovered at Lyon and in the vicinity. Next-door, you can see the archaeological remains of antique state buildings (grand theatre, Roman road, odeon, etc), unearthed by digs.
