Taken over at the beginning of 2023 by the CCB, the museum presents part of the rich collection assembled by Madeira entrepreneur and patron Joe Berardo. This exceptional collection of modern and contemporary art is representative of the main European and American movements of the 20th and 21st centuries, thanks to permanent acquisitions. The site also hosts temporary exhibitions of visual arts, architecture and photography.
