The museum located in the 16C convent, Convento Madre de Deus, presents the story of azulejos, from the Hispanic-Moorish tiles of the 15C to contemporary creations. This visit shows you around both the azulejos and the site, in particular the impressive church in which gilded wood was used profusely. Climb up to the top floor to take in the panoramic view of Lisbon before the earthquake: a fine composition in blue and white.
