This 537m-high hill offers fine views of the town. From its flower-decked terrace just below the Baroque church, the view extends for miles: in the foreground, the Urfahr district; to the left, the Dornach district with the Johannes-Kepler university; on the other side of the Danube lies the Hauptplatz; and to the right, the Landhaus tower and bell tower of the new neo-Gothic cathedral which dominates the town. In fine weather, you can even make out the Alps in the distance.
