The last representative of a long-standing local tradition, the Distillerie du Centre has been producing liqueurs and aperitif drinks (local specialities: chestnut, fig) in the artisanal way since 1789. The museum brings to life the history of the distilleries of Limoges, which used to be a major local business activity: in 1900, there were 48 of them!
