Among the islands in the Inland Sea, Teshima, with its hills, beaches and forests, is gaining in popularity among those who, already charmed by Naoshima, are in no hurry to move on. Several artworks, sometimes ephemeral, are displayed in Ieura and Karato - the two main ports - and the road connecting them. Ideally, arrive in one port and leave from the other, travelling between the two by bus, on foot or by bike (beware, it's hilly!). For a thought-provoking experience, Teshima Art Museum is just the ticket.
