This holy site in the heart of the Parque Natural de la Sierra d'Andújar is named after the mountain in the shape of a head (cabeza) where the Virgin Mary is said to have appeared. The chapel built to commemorate the event (next to a monastery destroyed during the Civil War) is one of Andalusia's major Marian pilgrimage destinations.
