Calle 23 runs through Vedado for more than 2km from Malecón to the Colón cemetery. It is known by the name Rampa along the section between the Hotel Nacional and the Habana Libre Tryp. Opposite the Edificio Focsa, Havana's tallest building, the Coppelia ice cream shop is a local institution, made famous by the film Fresa y Chocolate. The bustling daytime activity here gives way to nightlife centred around the bars and discos of the district's many international hotels.
