The amazing Gap of Dunloe has been sculpted by the glaciers of Macgillycuddy's Reeks mountain range. We recommend leaving the main road to admire the grandiose landscape of dark black lakes, thundering waterfalls and desolate ridges, because the incessant flow of coaches packed with tourists can somewhat mar the experience of this authentic site.
