With its rocky creeks, sandy beaches, mountains and wooded lakes, the large peninsula of Iveragh, which also encompasses Killarney, has no lack of stunning countryside. The main road, Ring of Kerry, is the best way to explore the region. From Kenmare, you may sometimes have to leave the main road to avoid the traffic that does not affect all the sites; in so doing, you will stumble across magical sites that are still off the beaten tourist track.
