Pointe des Châteaux is a narrow peninsula which juts out into the Atlantic at the south-eastern end of Grande-Terre. This grandiose site brings to mind the landscapes of Brittany, with its strangely shaped rocks which have been sculpted by the wind (hence the peninsula's evocative name). Take care not to walk close to the edge of the cliffs and note that swimming is dangerous here because of the currents - if you want to swim, head to the north side of the peninsula.
